Dr. Aharon “Ari” Gladstein is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and pediatric orthopedics.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA), and a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).

Dr. Gladstein graduated from Brandeis University with a degree in comparative literature.  He then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York.  He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Montefiore/Einstein and underwent fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. He completed his training with an additional fellowship in adult and pediatric sports medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital/Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Gladstein was on staff at Texas Children’s Hospital for eight years, practicing pediatric orthopedics, fracture care, and sports medicine. He received the Baylor College of medicine early career award for excellence in patient care. He achieved the rank of associate professor of orthopedics and trained numerous medical students, residents, and fellows. He took care of young athletes of all levels and served as the Head Team Physician for the Aldine Independent School District.

He gained expertise in the operative and non-operative management of fractures.  He developed subspecialty interests in ACL repair, reconstruction and revision, meniscus surgery, cartilage restoration techniques, multi ligamentous knee reconstruction, patellar stabilization, and arthroscopic shoulder surgery.

He has published multiple peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed publications, researching fracture care, discoid lateral meniscus, meniscus, repair techniques, patellar instability, and the imaging characteristics of ACL injuries.

He prides himself on educating his patients about their injuries and their treatment options. He draws on his experience to provide reassurance to children, families, and athletes as he guides them back to recovery. He knows that excellent clinical and surgical skills are necessary to meet expectations as a surgeon.  But to exceed expectations as a surgeon, he has found that patients always remember the way that they feel under your care.
